Oldest Law Book For Soccer Sold!
An auction buyer at London’s Sothebys paid just a little over $1.4M USD for a handwritten soccer rulebook that was first published in 1858! It is believed to be the oldest law book governing the modern game of soccer.
The document apparently contains references to indirect freekicks and corner kicks.
Sheffield FC sold the rulebook to raise money… I wonder if the book was worth more than the club?
